Job summary

Seymour Hotels of Jersey is seeking a Junior Sous Chef for Greenhills Hotel. This seasonal, full-time role combines hands-on cooking with supervising duties, helping to maintain high standards and develop junior chefs.

You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to craft seasonal menus using locally sourced produce, while upholding strict hygiene and safety standards in a high-end kitchen.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a quality hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
• Confident running a section and supervising chefs during busy services.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene; Level 2/3 Food Safety qualification desirable.
• Hospitality qualification desirable.
• Passionate about food, presentation, quality, and consistency.
• Calm, organised, and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service and maintain excellent food quality and presentation.
• Venture to develop and deliver innovative, seasonal menus using locally sourced produce.
• Mentor and motivate colleagues to build a high-performing kitchen culture.
• Support the team in sustaining the 2 AA Rosette standard of excellence.
