Job summary

Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Ferro Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping the team deliver great shifts and ensuring every dish that leaves the pass is cooked to spec. Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (prep, knife work, cleaning).
• Ability to work at pace with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of allergens and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is ready for each day.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, par, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure the kitchen is compliant and safe.
• Support and develop newer chefs' skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs and ensure every plate meets standard before leaving the pass.
