Job summary

Loungers' Saludo Lounge, a local café bar, is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help the team deliver great shifts, and ensure every dish leaving the pass is something to be proud of.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills.
• Works at pace with limited supervision.
• Knows allergen processes and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and prep for each day.
• Uphold high food standards and ensure dishes go out to spec.
• Own your section: prep, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes at all times and keep kitchen compliant and safe.
• Support and mentor newer chefs to develop their skills.
• Know the dish specs inside out and ensure every plate is praiseworthy.
