Job summary

Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for the Modelo Lounge kitchen. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping the team deliver great shifts and ensuring every dish leaving the pass is something to be proud of.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a kitchen handling fresh ingredients and a strong understanding of kitchen hygiene.
• Able to work at pace with limited supervision and maintain high standards.
• Knowledge of allergens and safe food handling is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure daily prep is up to standard.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards every shift.
• Take ownership of your section, manage prep and ensure cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen compliance and safety at all times.
• Support and help newer chefs develop skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate leaving the kitchen is of high quality.
