Job summary

Metro is seeking an HR professional to support the employee lifecycle, advise managers and maintain data integrity. You will handle employee relations and ensure policies align with employment law, delivering a compliant and positive employee experience.

You will collaborate with the People & Performance team to provide practical, timely guidance, manage casework, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Reporting into the People & Performance Manager, you will provide professional HR support across the employee lifecycle, managing employee relations casework, supporting people processes, maintaining HR data integrity and helping to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

You will be a trusted point of contact for managers and employees, providing pragmatic advice while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of the People & Performance team, you will provide proactive HR support across a broad range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and probation processes.

Working closely with managers across the business, you will offer practical, commercially focused advice, helping to resolve workplace issues and ensure a consistent employee experience.

Play an important role in maintaining accurate HR records and systems, supporting audits and people projects, driving continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures, and promoting a fair, compliant and people focused approach to managing our employees.
