Job summary

MDPI is seeking an Assistant Editor in Manchester to join the Editorial team. This entry-level, full-time role offers training and direct involvement in manuscript submission to publication workflows, with close work alongside Managing Editors.

The position requires a PhD or Master’s degree in Engineering or related fields, excellent English, and strong organizational skills. Office-based role with a range of career development options in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in a related Engineering field is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment.
• Detail oriented with the capacity to see the big picture.

Responsibilities

• Support the editorial process for academic journals in your domain of expertise.
• Organize peer review and coordinate editorial decisions.
• Handle email communication between parties in the publication process.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams.
• Ensure scholarly articles are edited and published with tight deadlines.
