Job summary

MDPI is seeking an entry-level Assistant Editor to join our Editorial team in Manchester. This full-time, in-office role offers training and exposure to the publication process from submission to final publication.

You will coordinate peer review, manage communications with researchers, and collaborate with editors and production teams to ensure timely, high-quality open access articles.

Qualifications

• PhD (preferred) or Master's degree in a related field.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with academic publishing is not required but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support the editorial process for journals in your domain.
• Organize the peer review process and coordinate editorial decisions.
• Handle email communication between authors, reviewers and editors.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to ensure timely publication.
• Ensure articles are edited and published with consistency and accuracy.
