Job summary

MDPI is seeking an Assistant Editor for its Editorial team in Manchester. This entry-level, full-time, in-office role offers training and exposure to the scholarly publishing process from submission to publication.

The candidate will support editorial workflows, coordinate peer review, and communicate with researchers and editors while working closely with Managing Editors in a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• PhD (preferred) or Master's in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, or related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Team player able to work in an international environment.
• Detail oriented with big-picture awareness.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Very good communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the editorial process for journals in your domain.
• Organize peer review and coordinate editorial decisions.
• Handle email communication between parties in the publication process.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams.
• Ensure articles are edited and published on tight deadlines.
