A leading healthcare trust in Greater London is looking for a part-time Research Fellow to assist with a significant study on kidney transplantation. This role involves coordinating research visits, managing clinical data, and ensuring compliance with research standards. Ideal candidates should have relevant experience in clinical research and be committed to advancing their academic careers. Training in specialized molecular diagnostics will be provided. Applications close on Friday 2 Jan 2026.
Applications are invited for a part‑time (0.5 WTE) Research Fellow to support delivery of the Devyser‑funded research programme “Evaluation of a diagnostic method for detection of molecular signs of rejection and tissue damage following kidney transplantation” at the Royal Free Hospital.
This is a research‑only post with no clinical service commitment. Under the supervision of Dr Rhys Evans, the post‑holder will coordinate and deliver key elements of the study, including participant identification, sample processing, assay coordination, data management and analysis, and regulatory documentation.
The Fellow will support operational delivery of the study in accordance with GCP, NIHR standards, Research Governance, and the project timelines outlined in the Devyser Research Funding Agreement.
This role offers excellent training in translational transplant research, laboratory‑based biomarker methods, molecular diagnostics, and regulated research delivery. It is well‑suited to individuals seeking to develop an academic career in transplantation, nephrology, molecular diagnostics or clinical research.
Devyser AB specialises in advanced diagnostic kits for complex DNA testing. The Royal Free, as an internationally recognised transplant centre, will conduct a 3‑year evaluation of a novel molecular diagnostic method for detecting early evidence of allograft rejection and tissue injury in kidney transplant recipients.
The post‑holder will be central in coordinating research visits, sample logistics, and data acquisition.
