Job summary

Apprentify is seeking a Junior Account Executive in Reading to kickstart a career in sales. You’ll engage with new and existing business customers, learn about their shipping needs and how to improve them, and provide friendly support as you grow within a fast-moving logistics environment.

The role includes a structured 12-month training programme, hands-on experience in sales and customer service, and progression toward more senior roles with commission as you expand your client portfolio.

• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the motivation to learn and grow in a fast-moving industry.
• No extensive experience required, good interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset are valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building Customer Relationships

• Speak with new and existing business customers
• Learn about how they currently ship goods and where improvements can be made
• Provide helpful, friendly support and maintain regular contact

Learning & Development

• Take part in a structured 12‑month training programme
• Gain hands‑on experience in sales, negotiation, and customer service
• Learn through a mix of classroom training, shadowing experienced colleagues, and on‑the‑job coaching

Supporting Customer Accounts

• Help onboard new clients and guide them through the process
• Assist with pricing, billing queries, and general account support
• Work closely with your team to solve problems and deliver a great service

Progression Opportunities

• Build your skills and move towards more senior roles
• Develop into a confident Account Manager over time
• Earn commission as you grow your portfolio of customers
