Job summary

ABP UK is seeking an IT support technician to maintain and repair company IT and network systems across manufacturing environments. You will diagnose network issues, fix terminal and printer faults at first line, and liaise with SI and Marel on software and hardware concerns.

The role covers Innova and Retail IT duties, including setup of Digi DPS graphics, OCMs, and provisioning of On-Prem and cloud services such as Exchange Online, Azure, and Intune, with Active Directory expertise and strong

• Previous IT experience is essential, ideally in a manufacturing setting.

• Strong planning and organisational abilities with flexibility to changing business demands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth running of IT and network systems across factory sites.
• Diagnose and fix network connection issues and first line faults on IT terminals and printers.
• Serve as point of contact for software issues and printer hardware from SI and Marel.
• Provide first line support for Innova and related systems.
• Maintain and support Digi DPS, label designs, servers, desktops, CCTV, telephony, Azure and Intune deployments, and Office 365 suite.

Job description

The post holder will be responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of the company IT and network systems.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday from 6am to 2:30pm, with some flexibility to meet the demands of the business including occasional weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain smooth running of SI kill line system including:

• Diagnosing and fixing network connection issues
• Diagnosing and first line fixing of broken SI terminals and printers
• Point of contact with SI re software issues
• Point of contact with Marel re printer issues

Factory - Innova

• Diagnosing and first line fixing of OCM faults and printer faults.
• Initial build of Innova OCMs
• First line support for the Innova system

Factory - Retail

• Creation and maintenance of:
• Digi DPS plu's and label designs
• Maintenance of the Shrewsbury network infrastructure & miscellaneous including:
• Wireless access points
• Servers
• Desktop PCs and laptops
• Photocopiers and desktop printers
• CCTV and telephone system
• Office 365 Suite of applications
• Azure and Intune deployment
• Active Directory knowledge and understanding

Knowledge & Experience

• Previous IT experience is essential, previous IT experience within manufacturing is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating flexibility towards changing business demands.
• Proactive, dynamic and motivational with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced, pressurised environment.
