Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Location: Hams Hall, Coleshill Birmingham

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a IT System Support Manager, managing a team of IT Analysts providing on-site IT support within a Business unit and act as customer liaison for all IT services impacting the site.

IT is the nerve system of Supply Chain – we connect different parts of our organisation with each other and to customers, translating business needs into solutions across the globe. Our IT professionals play a vital role as strategic partners, capable of enacting value-adding change through standardisation, differentiation, and innovation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead with Purpose: Provide leadership and management to the on-site IT team representing the IT agenda across the site. Communicate and coordinate any local site IT incidents with customer IT helpdesk and support teams.
  • Drive Performance: Successful delivery for IT solutions will include the coordination of central IT functions and coordinating and communicating with site operational colleagues. This will include local change management and incident coordination and support the management of IT products.
  • Innovate: Play an active role in IT project delivery for the site, act as a site IT SME providing end user service to enable the effective use of IT. Work with site-based operations teams to identify areas of development to the IT services.
  • Customer Relationships - lead and co-ordinate relationships and communication with business partners and customers
  • Ensure Compliance: Delivery and adherence to DHL IT Strategy and Governance. Including IT Change Management, Training and Documentation.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • IT experience in a large complex organisation with strong IT team management of a team of 6 IT Analysts.
  • Logistics or Supply Chain Industry knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience of Internal Customer and Stakeholder Management with good influencing skills.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) – ideally in Blue Yonder WMS, but you could also have Manhattan or Dispatcher experience.
  • Must have an interest in business technology and how to apply it in an operational environment.
  • SQL and report writing experience using PowerBI, Vue or WMS reports is desirable
  • Experience of working on change management activities.
