Join SYTECH – We're Hiring an IT Systems & Support Analyst

Behind the scenes, our IT infrastructure is the backbone of everything we do, and we are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Systems & Support Analyst to help keep it strong, secure, and continuously improving.

About the Role

As our IT Systems & Support Analyst, you will sit at the heart of our technical operations, bridging front-line support and strategic IT development. You will troubleshoot complex issues, manage systems, support users, and play a key role in IT projects across the business. It is a hands-on role with real scope to contribute ideas and shape how we use technology to deliver critical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide level one and two support to internal customers.
  • Assist with systems administration tasks including user account management, permissions, patching, backups, and monitoring.
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software across the organisation.
  • Participate in IT-related projects, including software rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, and implementation of new tools or services.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, asset registers, and knowledge base articles.
  • Monitor and respond to system alerts and performance issues.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and service providers when necessary.
  • Provide occasional cover for the IT Manager during absences and contribute ideas to improve SYTECH’s IT strategy and performance.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience supporting and managing a wide range of IT systems in a professional setting.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Group Policy, Hypervisors (e.g. VMware), and security tools such as SIEM or antivirus systems.
  • Knowledge of managing Microsoft products such as Active Directory, Intune and M365
  • Knowledge of managing SQL
  • Group Policy Management and Administration
  • Management of Windows Servers
  • Management of Linux (Multiple Distros)
  • Management of VOIP Phone Systems
  • Setup and management of SIEM solutions, including Windows Event Forwarding
  • Hypervisor and VMWare management
  • Anti-Virus Support and Administration
  • Security Auditing and Patching Administration
  • Problem Management and Critical Data-Management
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • A full UK driving licence, as travel between sites may be required.

Starting salary: £28,000 - £30,000-depending on your experience, skills, and qualifications, plus the opportunity for growth based on your performance and contributions to the role.
