Job summary

A leading company is seeking an IT Service Desk Analyst to join their newly formed IT Service Desk team in Bolton. This role involves resolving IT issues efficiently, engaging with clients, and offers fantastic opportunities for career growth in a supportive ITIL-based environment. Candidates with experience in M365, Active Directory, Azure, and IT support are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Experience fixing IT issues via phone, email, and in person.
  • Working in an ITIL environment preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setup and keen to join a new team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clients' IT issues are resolved efficiently in line with SLAs.
  • Take ownership of fixing IT problems without escalating unnecessarily.
  • Support users with various IT issues, primarily within a first-line capacity.

Role: IT Service Desk Analyst aka IT Support, 1st Line Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, Desktop Support Analyst

Salary: up to £30k DOE plus great benefits

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester – Hybrid working is in place

If you have previous experience working on a busy IT service desk in a first line role covering systems such as M365, Active directory, Azure cloud and basic networking skills would stand you in great stead for this role. Experience using remote desktop tools and ITSM tools would also be fantastic. If you have an IT related degree then great…BUT this NOT essential. Finally, you will be working in an ITIL environment, therefore if you have done so before then great, but again not a necessity.
