Job summary

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an IT Support Assistant to join the Digital Support Team on a fixed-term one-year contract. The role supports the IT service desk and infrastructure, logging calls, and delivering remote fixes in a busy hospital environment.

The successful candidate will gain experience with DNS/DHCP, Windows systems, NHS Mail and Active Directory while developing technical skills and customer-focused service in a fast-paced Trust setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with call logging and remote/desk-side support.
• Experience in busy IT Helpdesk or similar environment.
• Knowledge of Windows products and NHS IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support within the Digital Support Team.
• Log calls, perform remote fixes, and undertake some desk-side tasks.
• Assist with procurement, user accounts, asset recording and general admin duties.
