Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an IT Support Assistant to join the Digital Support Team on a fixed-term one-year contract. The role supports the IT service desk and infrastructure, logging calls, and delivering remote fixes in a busy hospital environment.
The successful candidate will gain experience with DNS/DHCP, Windows systems, NHS Mail and Active Directory while developing technical skills and customer-focused service in a fast-paced Trust setting.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprenticeswho are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that thesalary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% max of band)until they have completed their apprenticeship.

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant IT Support Technician to work within the Digital Support team at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on a fixed term.
The successful candidate will have an existing knowledge of Microsoft Products such as DNS and DHCP and this role will be an opportunity to develop this knowledge further.
This would be ideally suited to someone with a passion for technology and experience of call handling and IT and Infrastructure first line support in a fast-paced hospital IT environment.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing the first line support within the Digital Support Team.
This will include the provision of a call logging and remote fix function via telephone and drop-in. Other duties include some desk-side fixes, the processing of procurement of IT equipment to the Trust, user account creation and maintenance, asset recording, advice to users, and also providing general administration duties.
The post-holder will have opportunities to learn a vast amount of technical skills whilst working within the department.
The post requires a highly developed customer focus and the ability to work on your own initiative.
