Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide first‑line and basic second‑line assistance across the organisation. You will handle user accounts, password resets, device setup, Microsoft 365 support, and hardware troubleshooting in a defence‑oriented environment.

You will troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers and networking issues, set up new devices, and escalate complex problems to the Senior IT Engineer while keeping tickets up to date and complying with security policies.

Qualifications

• Good basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and common business software.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 and user accounts.
• Able to troubleshoot common hardware, software and network issues.
• Good communication skills and comfortable helping users.
• Willing to learn new systems and develop IT skills.
• Awareness of UK export control, health & safety and environmental management is desirable.
• Experience with defence industry and UK MOD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line and basic 2nd line IT support.
• Deal with password resets, account issues and access requests.
• Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, software, printers and IT equipment.
• Software installation and troubleshooting.
• Set up new devices and assist users with Microsoft 365 and IT issues.
• Escalate complex problems to the Senior IT Engineer.
• Keep support tickets updated and follow IT procedures.
• Maintain IT records and documentation.
• Follow security requirements and company policies.
• Assist the IT team with day‑to‑day tasks and projects.
