Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to join our security-focused team in Cambridgeshire. You will provide 1st/2nd line support, set up devices, manage Microsoft 365 accounts, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to keep operations resilient.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Windows 11/10 and common business software.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 and user accounts.
• Able to troubleshoot common hardware, software and network issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to help users.
• Willing to learn new systems and develop IT skills.
• Awareness of UK export controls, health & safety and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line and basic 2nd line IT support.
• Deal with password resets, account issues and basic access requests.
• Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, software, printers and other IT equipment.
• Software installation and troubleshooting.
• Set up new devices and help users with Microsoft 365 and general IT issues.
• Escalate more complex problems to the Senior IT Engineer.
• Keep support tickets updated and follow through.
• Keep IT records and documentation up to date.
• Follow IT procedures, security requirements and company policies.
• Help users in a clear and professional way.
• Assist the IT team with day-to-day tasks, equipment setup and projects.
