Job summary

Partingtons is seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician for its Head Office, relocating from Thornton to Staining this year. This full-time permanent role provides high-quality technical support across all locations for staff and stakeholders.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, log support activity, administer Active Directory/Group Policy, assist with IT projects, and ensure documentation is accurate. A proactive team player with excellent communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake trouble shooting on both hardware and software across all locations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating to the IT Manager when appropriate.
• Provide an efficient and support service via telephone, email or remote control to non-IT team members across all elements and all levels of the Company.
• Log all support activity via the helpdesk call logging service.
• Ensure documentation relating to support or project work undertaken is accurate and timely.
• Administer and configure the Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Undertake small to medium sized IT projects under the direction of the IT Lead.
• Carry out daily checks on Partingtons IT infrastructure.
• Wi‑Fi codes – creation, update and radius server updates
• Teams maintenance and creation
• Organise the repair of faulty equipment within budgetary limits
• Undertake inventory of IT stock
• Deliver, transport and install hardware / equipment across all locations.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support across all locations.
• Configure and deploy routers and switches on remote locations.
• Participate in the IT team roster which provides the appropriate level of out of hours cover is provided.
• Perform morning checks on the Spam/Quarantined Emails and CCTV Systems across all Parks
• Take ownership of all 1st/2nd and 3rd Line Support issues created
