Small Business IT Support London specialises in providing IT support to SMEs from a variety of industries in Central London. We are looking for an IT support technician that will be able to assist our clients both onsite and remotely, troubleshooting both software and hardware issues and ensuring the smooth operation of their IT systems.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and customer service skills, would be passionate about IT and about enriching their knowledge of new technologies and improving processes.
Duties
Provide IT support to our clients both remotely and onsite. This could be user, endpoint, network, email, server or cybersecurity support.
Effectively troubleshoot software and hardware issues, causing minimal disruption to operations
Install and monitor network infrastructure for small businesses. Tasks would include setting up firewalls, routers, switches and access points as well as monitoring those at regular intervals to identify potential issues.
Maintain and support various operating systems but primarily Windows and Mac OS
Perform some hardware repairs on laptop and desktop PCs
Communicate with users effectively to understand their needs and offer appropriate solutions
Document all support activities
Collaborate with other members of the team to improve service delivery
Role Requirements
Proven experience in IT support or similar role
Experience in setting up network devices
Experience of administration of O365 and Google Workspace
Ability to troubleshoot various operating systems, software applications and cloud services
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and having the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
A problem-solving mindset
Excellent organizational skills and customer service skills
Excellent time management skills
Desirable But Not Essential
Degree in technical discipline and/or IT certifications (primarily Microsoft and network certifications)
Experience in hardware repairs
Experience in VOIP platforms
