IT Support Technician (1st/2nd Line) (Remote - UK Based)

Full-time | Must be available during Pakistan Standard Time (PST)

Are you an IT support professional looking for a fully remote role with a global schedule? A global client of mine is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their team and provide top-tier technical support while working UK-based remotely on Pakistan hours. This is a new role as they look to bring their support function in-house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-line technical support via phone, email, and remote tools.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage and resolve tickets using systems like Zoho, Zendesk, or Jira.
  • Administer user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
  • Escalate complex issues to second-line support when needed.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in IT support or a helpdesk role.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based tools like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks.

Desirable Qualifications

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be based in the UK.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work Pakistan Standard Time hours (typically 4 AM - 1 PM UK time).
