Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an IT Support Officer to contribute to the efficient IT support across all group sites in Wales. The role involves installing, maintaining and supporting desktop hardware, software and Office 365, with active directory management and ticketing system usage.

The successful candidate will work under the Customer Services Lead and IT Services Manager, travel to other sites when required, and complete compliance checks prior to commencement.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent).
• IT literate to Level 3 is required.
• Experience with desktop PC hardware is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line IT support to the College community.
• Install, replace, support and maintain desktop hardware and software including PCs, printers, phones and mobile devices, Office 365 suite, and specialist software.
• Maintain user accounts in Active Directory (access rights, permissions, groups).
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects and respond to IT support requests via the Helpdesk system.
• Liaise with external agencies to resolve IT issues and implement recommendations.
• Travel to other sites to provide IT assistance as required.
