Job summary

Beck Greener LLP is seeking an IT apprentice to be the face of the IT department, delivering a customer-focused approach and first-line support to staff and partners.

You will gain hands-on experience across helpdesk, hardware, software, and security, while undertaking apprenticeship training and developing technical knowledge.

This role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience and a pathway to a recognised IT qualification within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 3 GCSEs (4+) in any subject.
• Maths and English at GCSE 3+ (D or above).
• Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support, responding to helpdesk requests and resolving hardware and software issues both remotely and on-site
• Log, track, and update support tickets, ensuring incidents are accurately recorded and managed through to resolution
• Diagnose technical issues and elevate complex problems to senior technicians when required
• Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot software applications and operating systems
• Support the maintenance and monitoring of IT systems, networks, and related infrastructure
• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, records, and reports
• Follow IT security procedures, best practices, and industry standards in all tasks undertaken
• Participate in apprenticeship training and development activities to build technical knowledge, skills, and experience
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, maintaining a professional, organised, and positive working environment
