Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking an IT Services Officer to join the on-site IT team in Liverpool. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will provide 1st-3rd line support, manage site resources, deploy hardware and software, and help maintain the college's desktop systems and local applications.

This permanent role focuses on delivering reliable IT services for teaching and learning, ensuring SLAs are met, and supporting technology-enhanced learning equipment across college centres.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and configuring Windows OS on desktop equipment.
• Technical knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• First-hand experience troubleshooting IT desktop hardware.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working to quality and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st/2nd/3rd line IT support on-site.
• Manage site resources and allocations.
• Maintain software catalogue and licences.
• Support on-site exams (software/hardware).
• Deploy hardware and software to support education.
• Ensure SLAs are adhered to.
• Assist teaching with Technology Enhanced Learning equipment.
• Maintain IT equipment for performance.
• Carry out routine maintenance and testing.
• Record maintenance logs accurately.
• Transport equipment between college sites.
