Burnley College invites applications for an IT Technician to provide high-quality IT support to staff and students and keep technology services across all sites running smoothly. You will supply first‑line support in person, by phone and through the IT service desk, supporting devices, classroom and AV tech, printers and network peripherals, plus Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID.
Strong troubleshooting in Windows 11 and cloud services is expected.
We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced IT Technician to provide high-quality IT support to staff and students and support the effective day-to-day operation of Burnley College’s technology services across all College sites.
As an experienced IT professional, your responsibilities will include providing first-line IT support in person, by telephone and through the IT service desk, ensuring reported faults are resolved promptly and within agreed service levels. You will support a wide range of end-user devices, classroom and audio-visual technology, printers and networked peripherals, as well as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and other cloud services. You will also provide timely IT and AV support for lessons, examinations, open events and major College events.
With recent experience of providing IT support within a Microsoft Windows environment, alongside experience supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud services including Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID, you will have strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience of using an industry-standard service desk system. You will also have experience supporting classroom or audio-visual technology, with knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365 applications and common end-user hardware.
The salary for this post is up to £26,236
