Job summary

Home Bargains is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team. You will provide technical support across stores and distribution centres in the UK, handling hardware and software issues, including remote assistance, phone support, and occasional site visits.

The role requires a proactive, communicative individual with a can-do attitude, capable of working in a fast-paced retail environment and maintaining high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical support role.
• Familiarity with Windows, Citrix and AS/400.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Retail/distribution environment knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues (repair/replace parts).
• Install, configure and support systems including Windows, Citrix and AS400.
• Ensure security and privacy in line with CISO advisories and GDPR.
• Handle retail interfaces and service requests with timely responses.
• Log requests in Service Desk Plus and resolve per SLA; liaise with vendors as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and information management as required by GDPR.
• Contribute to internal system/process improvements.
• Perform other duties within remit and skill set.
