Job summary

CIL is seeking an IT Apprentice to start a career in technology from our London office. You will gain hands-on experience in IT support, cloud administration and security, while working toward a Level 3 apprenticeship.

Join a small IT team supporting six offices in a cloud-first Microsoft 365 environment, with mentoring, structured training, and exposure to Entra ID, Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths (or willingness to study towards Functional Skills)
• Genuine interest in IT and technology
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Methodical, curious approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Comfortable with AI-assisted tools

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to staff and log/triage tickets
• Assist with device provisioning and Entra ID/Intune enrollment
• Maintain user accounts and licensing across Microsoft 365
• Support day-to-day security tooling monitoring and escalation
• Assist with printers, AV/Teams Rooms, and meeting room setups
• Maintain documentation, asset registers, and runbooks
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding with HR
• Build proficiency with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and Claude
• Shadow senior staff on infrastructure projects as needed
• Complete Level 3 apprenticeship coursework with dedicated study time
