Job summary

The Oil and Pipelines Agency is looking for an IT Analyst to join a small IT department at Garelochhead, Helensburgh. The role is hybrid with 2–3 days in the office and includes support across multiple sites and up to 300 users, including occasional travel with overnight stays.

You will resolve user issues, help improve IT systems, and assist in IT governance. A 1–2 year track record in IT support is expected, with basic cloud, AD and networking skills and a willingness to learn SharePoint

Qualifications

• IT qualification or demonstrable experience in an IT support or infrastructure environment.
• Typically 1–2 years’ experience in a technical IT role (1st/2nd line support, desktop support or junior systems administration).
• Experience with multi-site environments and remote support is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical support to the business and ensure satisfactory performance of IT infrastructure.
• Resolve users' issues and deliver improvements in line with IT Strategy.
• Support management of change processes and ensure security functions are up to date.
• Administer and maintain group infrastructure, systems and IT services.
• Liaise with third party suppliers and assist with cost-effective IT purchases.
• Manage ordering, configuration and deployment of end-user IT hardware.
• Create and maintain documentation and update relevant databases.
• Be part of project teams and assist with IT projects as required.
