Job summary

The Oil and Pipelines Agency (OPA) is recruiting an IT Analyst to join its small, friendly IT department at Garelochhead, Helensburgh. The role involves maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting users, and contributing to the IT strategy, with on-site Monday to Thursday and a Friday work-from-home day.

The successful candidate will work across a multi-site environment, support up to 300 users, and collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of cloud services (O365, Azure) with willingness to develop further.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365 apps, and basic AD tasks.
• Basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing).
• Experience in end-user support across multi-site environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure user issues are resolved and IT systems are maintained.
• Monitor security and back-up processes and update documentation.
• Assist with IT projects and procurement of hardware/software.
• Provide support across multi-site environment and liaise with third-party suppliers.
