Job summary

Midlothian Council is looking for an IT Support Analyst to be the first port of call for staff facing IT issues. You will help them get back up and running quickly, with training provided where needed.

The role offers hybrid working (home/onsite) and a 36-hour week pattern, with flexible Monday–Friday working. The salary starts at £30,619.22 per year and progresses within the scale, with the required security checks disclosed to applicants.

Qualifications

• A good level of IT literacy in core digital technologies including Windows 11, Office and wireless networks.
• Previous ICT support or customer service experience.
• SNC in Information Technology or similar qualification or equivalent.
• CCA/Diploma or CSP or similar qualification or equivalent.
• Valid driving licence.
• ITIL Foundation Qualification.
• Customer care experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for staff with IT issues and guide them to a speedy resolution.
• Provide user-friendly support to get staff back online with hardware and software.
• Work within a rota; hybrid working available with on-site or remote support.
