Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a Material Handler in Birmingham to support a busy warehouse operation. The role runs Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00, with a pay rate of £13.53 per hour. You will perform daily cycle counts, locate and count stock, verify part numbers and storage locations, and record quantities accurately.

Recounts and variance reporting are required, with adherence to site procedures and PPE rules. Applicants should have prior warehouse or logistics experience, strong attention to detail,

Qualifications

• Previous inventory counting or stock control experience.
• Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Comfortable with manual handling and standing for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily inventory cycle counts.
• Physically locate and count stock items.
• Verify part numbers and storage locations.
• Accurately record stock quantities.
• Carry out recounts where discrepancies are identified.
• Report stock variances for further investigation.
• Check stock-location accuracy.
• Identify misplaced or incorrectly labelled inventory.
• Support inventory housekeeping and location-control activities.
• Assist with stock audits and physical inventory checks.
• Provide general support to the Inventory team with routine stock control tasks.
