Job summary

Gi Group UK is recruiting a hands-on Material Handler to support warehouse and inventory activities at our Birmingham B15 site on a 3-month contract.

The role involves cycle counts, locating and counting inventory, verifying part numbers and storage locations, recording counts, and assisting with inventory clean-up and audits. You will work Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00, 40 hours per week, wearing PPE and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous inventory counting experience (essential).
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and being on your feet most of the day.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Completing daily cycle-count lists.
• Physically locating and counting inventory.
• Verifying part numbers and storage locations.
• Recording physical count quantities accurately.
• Performing second counts/recounts where differences are identified.
• Flagging discrepancies for investigation.
• Checking stock-location accuracy.
• Identifying misplaced or incorrectly labelled inventory.
• Supporting inventory clean-up and location-control activities.
• Assisting with physical inventory and audit preparation.
• Supporting the Inventory team with routine inventory-control tasks.
