Material Handler Opportunity

This temporary Material Handler role in Birmingham supports a busy warehouse and logistics operation. Working Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00, the successful candidate earns up to £13.53 hourly through Manpower UK. Duties centre on inventory cycle counts, physically locating and counting stock, verifying part numbers and storage locations, and recording quantities accurately. Recounts are carried out where discrepancies arise, with variances reported for investigation. Applicants should bring prior warehouse, stock control or logistics experience, strong attention to detail, and comfort working within structured processes. Checking location accuracy and identifying misplaced or incorrectly labelled items also form part of daily tasks.

Candidate Requirements

  • Comfortable with manual handling duties and being on your feet throughout the shift.
Working Environment

This is a warehouse-based role and will involve: Standing and walking for extended periods. Manual handling in line with site requirements. Working within temperature-controlled areas, including: Freezers operating at -20°C Cold rooms operating between +2°C and +8°C Adhering to all site Health, Safety and Environmental procedures. PPE andamp; Dress Code PPE will be provided where required. Employees must: Wear safety footwear at all times. Wear Hi-Vis clothing in designated areas. Maintain a smart casual appearance whilst on site (no shorts permitted).
