Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Leeds is looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist radiologists in delivering high standards of patient care during ultrasound procedures. The role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the capability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, communicating with patients, and maintaining hygiene standards. Ideal candidates should have experience in healthcare and relevant qualifications such as GCSEs in English and Maths.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with the general public in a healthcare role.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Evidence of moving and handling.
  • Experience in asepsis techniques.
  • Evidence of training in the use of patient observation equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with patients and their escorts.
  • Assist with interventional procedures such as biopsies and injections.
  • Prepare sterile equipment for procedures.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the working environment.
  • Assist with the transfer of patients.

Skills

Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Good written and oral communication skills

Education

GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Functional Skills equivalent
Level 3 qualification in a relevant healthcare related subject
