Job summary

Hamilton Barnes invites an Internal IT Support Engineer to join our technology consultancy in central London. The role targets individuals with 2–4 years in IT support who want to progress beyond a service desk and own internal IT, security, and infrastructure initiatives.

You will work on Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, device builds, onboarding/offboarding, patching, and Cyber Essentials compliance within a collaborative, technically strong team.

Qualifications

• 1st / 2nd Line IT Support
• Microsoft 365 expertise and admin
• Entra ID / Active Directory management
• Intune / endpoint management
• Patching and vulnerability management
• Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus
• Basic networking knowledge
• Troubleshooting Windows devices
• Own internal IT issues and drive fixes

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain core internal IT systems and infrastructure
• Manage Microsoft 365 / Office 365 users, groups, and licenses
• Admin Entra ID / Active Directory and device enrollment
• Oversee Intune configurations and endpoint management
• Handle laptop builds, deployments, and onboarding/offboarding
• Apply patches, monitor vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation
• Support Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus compliance processes
• Assist with internal network and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting
• Contribute to IT documentation and asset management
