Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms in Smethwick is seeking an Internal Account Manager for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, handle inbound enquiries and ensure orders are processed accurately.

You will drive additional revenue through outbound calls, lead generation and re-engage lapsed accounts, while supporting the wider sales team.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal sales, account management or B2B customer service.
• Confident making outbound calls and generating new business leads.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially aware and able to work towards sales targets and KPIs.
• Organised with accuracy in processing orders and coordinating with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to meet their needs.
• Serve as the main contact for inbound customer enquiries.
• Generate B2B sales orders and coordinate with the dispatch team.
• Proactively generate new business through outbound calls and prospecting.
• Re-engage lapsed accounts to re-establish relationships.
• Support external Business Development Managers to maximise sales.
• Contribute to monthly sales reporting and market trend insights.
