  • Significant experience in governance within a membership or not-for-profit setting.
  • Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders on governance-related strategic decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection, information governance, and relevant laws.
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and formal writing skills.
  • Ability to influence and maintain the confidence of senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead governance activities to align with organisational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Manage and advise on governance structure and best practises.
  • Oversee data protection matters, implementing strategies in line with UK GDPR.
  • Support the EDI Committee in executing the College's external EDI plan.
  • Develop and maintain internal governance systems, policies, and processes.
  • Manage committee business effectively, ensuring timely decision-making.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Governance team.
