We're seeking an Interim Financial Controller with a strong background in accounting and finance within the engineering industry. This key role will provide financial leadership and strategic insight, contributing to the overall financial health of our organisation by improving processes and financial reporting.

Description

1. Leading and managing the finance team.
2. Overseeing financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
3. Developing and implementing financial strategies to support business goals.
4. Preparing monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
5. Managing budgeting and forecasting processes.
6. Ensuring effective financial control systems are in place.
7. Providing financial advice to the management team.
8. Liaising with auditors.
9. Managing payroll and VAT returns.
10. Performing bank reconciliations.

Profile

A successful Interim Financial Controller should have:

1. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
2. Demonstrable experience in a senior financial role within the engineering / technology industry.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
4. Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards.
5. Proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts.

8. Proficiency in SAGE 50 (essential).
