Fractional Financial Controller – Membership Organisation – Fully remote

About the Organisation:

A leading membership organisationis seeking a highly skilled Fractional Financial Controller to support its financial operations. This organisation plays a pivotal role in its sector, offering resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy for its members.

Key Criteria:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Possess Charity SORP experience, ideally gained within a membership setting.
Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be an experienced Qualified Accountant, adept at managing the financial health of a membership-based organisation. Responsibilities will include overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring alignment with Charity SORP regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial strategy and oversee budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with Charity SORP and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Manage monthly and annual financial reporting, providing insights for leadership teams.
  • Oversee financial governance, including risk management and internal controls.
  • Act as a strategic financial advisor, supporting executive decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • A fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accreditation.
  • Extensive experience working within a charity or membership organisation.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, including Charity SORP.
  • Proven track record in budget management and strategic financial planning.
  • Ability to provide high-level financial insights to support organisational growth.
