Financial Management & Accounting
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Fixed Asset Register, and Revenue Recognition.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all financial transactions in compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts, statutory accounts, and board reports.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Manage the transaction processing system and liaise with group finance to consolidate financial results.
- Implement and manage financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a strong control environment.
Regulatory Compliance & Audits
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including:
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Payroll tax and pension processing
- Annual P11D & PSA submissions
- R&D relief claims
- S455 corporation tax submissions
- Ensure all relevant documents are filed with Companies House on time.
- Lead the audit process, serving as the primary contact for auditors during both half-year and full-year audits.
Strategic Financial Planning & Risk Management
- Review and optimise company insurance contracts to maximize cost-effectiveness.
- Manage cash flow, debt, and debt collection processes efficiently.
- Ensure financial risk management practices are in place to safeguard company assets.
Payroll & Employee Benefits
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate HMRC payments.
- Manage pension contributions and provide employee education on pension schemes.
