Financial Controller - Integrations

Fully remote with occasional UK and European travel

Head Office: London – optional hybrid working if preferred

Join a high-growth, private equity-backed group on an exciting journey of expansion across the UK and Europe. They are acquiring and integrating businesses at pace, and looking for a talented Financial Controller – Integrations to lead the financial management of newly acquired companies and help shape the future of finance operations.

This is a key role where you will take ownership of a portfolio of acquired businesses during the critical early stages post-acquisition. You’ll bring technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts – while leading a small, remote team of in-country accountants. (UK, France and Germany)

What you’ll be doing:

• Own the financial control of acquired businesses for approximately 0–6 months post-acquisition, before they transition into the local BAU teams.
• Drive the financial integration process: closure accounts, opening balances, account cleansing and monthly management reporting.
• Lead monthly reviews with management teams and provide consolidated reporting to Group.
• Partner closely with Project Managers, in-country Finance teams, and third-party accountants.
• Support financial system migrations to Sage Intacct and the roll-out of PowerBI for advanced reporting.
• Champion continuous improvement, finding smarter ways to manage a growing portfolio and streamline financial operations.

About You:

• A qualified accountant with a passion and desire to work in a high growth, PE backed business.
• Experience handling multi-entities or a portfolio of businesses will be highly desirable.
• GAAP experience beyond the UK (French / German) would be desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders within the acquired businesses and third parties (external accountants) and the integration project team.
• Able to work to the time-table and play-book as defined by the Project Managers.
• The type of mind to unpick problems and issues and find ways to get things done, overcoming challenges.
• A demonstrable track record of improving processes and ways of working; this will be essential as the volume of acquisitions grow.
• European language skills would be desirable, but not essential.
