We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller, remotely from the United Kingdom.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Your responsibilities include overseeing month-end processes, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations. Your expertise in audits, treasury management, and process optimization will be crucial for maintaining robust financial controls. Accountabilities

1. Lead month-end profit and loss (P&L) processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and variance analysis.
2. Prepare interim financial statements and ensure statutory accounts meet regulatory requirements.
3. Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth year-end audit process.
4. Enhance financial reporting systems and internal controls to improve efficiency and compliance.
5. Contribute to ERP system projects, focusing on automation and operational improvements.
6. Provide technical accounting expertise and advisory support across finance teams.
7. Develop and implement treasury management strategies to optimize financial performance.
8. Ensure compliance with banking requirements by managing KYC documentation.
9. Support tax-related activities, including R&D tax credit claims and international tax compliance.
10. Oversee insurance renewals, risk assessments, and customer insurance queries.

Requirements

1. ACA or ACCA qualification with a solid background in financial reporting and audits.
2. Strong technical accounting expertise, with the ability to guide and advise teams.
3. Experience with treasury management, tax compliance, and ERP systems.
4. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Google Suite for data analysis and reporting.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
