Interim Financial Controller (6 months FTC)

Job: Interim Financial Controller
Location: Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire
Salary: 60k-80k FTC (dependant on experience)
Length of contract: 6 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Interim Financial Controller to join a dynamic team in Berkhamsted, supporting their Group Financial Controller.

Responsibilities include:

1. Ownership of unreconciled accounts, ensuring completion and accuracy
2. Identify areas for process improvement
3. Collaborate and partner with other business units
4. Assist the Financial Controller in ensuring a smooth audit process
5. Lead the redesign of the month-end closing process
6. Guide and mentor junior staff members
7. Work closely with the executive team

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications or equivalent
• Proven track record in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work well under pressure
• Strong knowledge of Excel and financial systems
• Experience with audit processes and month-end closing procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The client offers a salary of 60k-80k (depending on experience) and provides hybrid work arrangements.
