The Financial Controller reports to the Finance Director and is part of the Financial Reporting team. This key role acts as a bridge between reporting managers and team goals. We are hiring this 15-month contract position.

The main responsibilities include:

1. Enhancing and preparing the monthly consolidated reporting pack, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, based on individual country returns.
2. Managing the month-end close process to meet investor relations needs and reduce the timetable.
3. Designing and implementing global financial reporting controls, coordinating with internal audit, and monitoring control effectiveness.
4. Leading the Financial System (NetSuite) chart of accounts, including change management and communication with relevant departments.
5. Managing relationships with the financial systems team to optimize ERP system usage, identify improvements, and support the transformation program for streamlined month-end processes.
6. Updating the accounting policy manual and analyzing impacts of new accounting standards or practices.
7. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and managing external reporting commitments.
8. Leading the audit process to meet group and statutory reporting deadlines, ensuring local GAAP accounts are prepared and filed.
9. Handling corporate reporting projects such as share options and finance transformation initiatives.
10. Participating in ad hoc projects to improve finance processes, M&A activities, and operational efficiencies.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CA with experience in efficient month-end processes.
• Strong technical accounting skills with financial systems experience.
• Relevant industry or startup experience.
