Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer for an interim contract in Worthing, West Sussex. You will manage a patch of tenancies, support residents and work with partners to keep neighbourhoods safe and well-maintained.

The role is field-based, requiring strong tenancy knowledge, ASB handling, and the ability to balance enforcement with support for vulnerable tenants while delivering practical housing management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Neighbourhood Housing Officer or similar in social housing.
• Knowledge of tenancy management and anti-social behaviour procedures.
• Understanding of housing legislation and good practice.
• Experience managing a varied caseload and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and handling sensitive conversations.
• Experience with vulnerable residents and partner agencies.
• IT skills including use of a housing management system.
• Able to travel to properties across the patch.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patch of tenancies and be the main contact for residents.
• Carry out tenancy visits, audits and estate inspections.
• Investigate and resolve ASB, neighbour disputes and breaches.
• Work with police and local authorities on complex cases.
• Handle tenancy changes such as succession and assignments.
• Refer vulnerable tenants to support services.
• Monitor communal areas and coordinate repairs.
• Keep accurate case records in the housing management system.
• Contribute to resident engagement and neighbourhood improvements.
• Handle queries and complaints professionally.
