Job summary

Tempest Resourcing Limited is seeking two experienced Intensive Housing Management Officers to join a supported housing provider serving Colchester and Clacton. You will work with residents with complex needs to sustain tenancies, improve wellbeing and progress to independent living.

Responsibilities include caseload management, tenancy support, rent and benefit matters, welfare visits, risk assessments and safeguarding referrals, with collaboration to external agencies and authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in supported housing or homelessness services.
• Experience with vulnerable adults and complex needs.
• Knowledge of tenancy management, safeguarding and risk assessment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residents in supported accommodation.
• Support residents to sustain tenancy and move to independent living.
• Deal with rent accounts, arrears and housing benefit.
• Carry out property inspections, occupancy checks and welfare visits.
• Complete risk assessments, support plans and safeguarding referrals.
• Work with external agencies, local authorities and support providers.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and provide appropriate interventions.
• Ensure properties are maintained to a safe standard.
• Support residents to access education, training, employment and community services.
