Vivid Resourcing Ltd is recruiting an interim Tenancy Sustainment Officer for a leading housing provider in the Midlands. You will support residents to sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness, managing a caseload and referring to internal and external services.

Ideal candidates will have social housing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop action plans, carry out home visits, and maintain records to ensure tenancy stability and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residents requiring tenancy sustainment support.

• Maintain accurate case records and work with Housing Officers and Income teams.
• Carry out home visits and develop action plans with residents.

Title: Tenany Sustainment Officer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join a leading housing provider on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in social housing who is passionate about supporting residents to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.

The Role

As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will work closely with residents who may be experiencing financial, personal or social challenges that could put their tenancy at risk.

You will provide proactive, customer-focused support, helping residents overcome barriers and access the appropriate services and support.

• Managing a caseload of residents who require tenancy sustainment support.
• Identifying and addressing issues that could place tenancies at risk.
• Working proactively with residents to prevent tenancy failure and homelessness.
• Supporting residents with rent arrears, benefit entitlement, budgeting and financial difficulties.
• Making appropriate referrals to internal teams and external support agencies.
• Working closely with Housing Officers, Income teams and other key stakeholders.
• Developing effective support and action plans with residents.
• Carrying out home visits where required.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.
• Working in line with relevant housing legislation, policies and procedures.
• Promoting tenancy stability and positive outcomes for residents.

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience within social housing, tenancy sustainment, homelessness, income recovery or a related field.

• Experience managing a caseload within a housing or related environment.
• A good understanding of tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention.
• Experience supporting residents experiencing complex or multiple needs.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits, rent arrears and financial inclusion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with residents and partner agencies.
• Strong organisational and case management skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, empathetic and solution-focused approach.

Previous experience within a Housing Association, Local Authority or other social housing environment is highly desirable.
