Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Insurance Specialist for a temporary contract in Arborfield, England. The role involves leading insurance functions, managing claims, and training colleagues on processes. Experience in insurance management and claim analysis is required, preferably within Social Housing. This is a fully remote role with flexible working days, 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, paying an hourly rate based on experience.

Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for an Insurance Specialist on a 3 month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within Insurance Management, including previous dealings with Brokers, Insurers and Lawyers.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the insurance function for Homes Operations to ensure appropriate insurance cover is always in place to support the delivery of the Group business plan objectives and Business Continuity plans
  • Assisting the team with a backlog of claims, including fire, water damage, subsidence and public liability
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with insurers and consultants, whilst discussing these claims with internal members of staff
  • Delivering training to colleagues including those in Housing Management and maintenance roles to ensure that there is an effective understanding of their role in providing insurers with information in the event of a claim
  • Working alongside our Homes & Finance, Assurance and Governance teams and with insurance consultants as required to support the procurement of insurance contracts
Qualifications
  • Experience in preparing and analysing claims
  • Insurance & claim management experience & management of legal claims
  • All sectors will be looked at but Social Housing would be preferred
