Job summary

Howden in Birmingham is offering a permanent apprenticeship in our Claims team, designed to develop your technical knowledge, professional skills and confidence to launch your career.

Starting with a structured induction, you’ll gain hands-on experience gathering information from clients, learning how policies work, handling calls with customers and supporting follow-ups with insurers to keep claims moving. You’ll also prepare reports and analyse data as part of the programme.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: right to work in the UK.
• Residency: lived in the UK for the last 3 years.
• GCSEs: grade C/4 in English and Maths.
• No overlapping apprenticeship qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from clients about their claims to support Claims Handlers.
• Learn how insurance policies work and how cover is assessed for different claims.
• Handle calls with clients and deliver excellent customer service.
• Follow up with clients and insurers to keep claims moving.
• Prepare reports and analyse data.
