Job summary

Howden is launching Insurance Claims Apprenticeship Programme in Birmingham. Starting September 2027, you will join a permanent role from day one while completing an 18‑month development programme. Location: Birmingham, with an office-based structure (4 days a week in the office).

You will join the Claims team to learn claims processes, customer service, and data analysis, with structured induction and progression into more responsibility.

Qualifications

• No prior insurance experience required; training provided.
• Confident communicating with a wide range of people, including over the phone.
• Ability to stay organised and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Claims Handlers by gathering information from claimants.
• Learn how insurance policies work and how cover is assessed.
• Handle calls with clients and deliver excellent service.
• Support follow-up with clients and insurers to progress claims.
• Help prepare reports and analyse data.
